Red-rumped Parrot

Such a beautiful species!

I was snuggled at the edge of my favourite dam in the Little Desert, wishing that the sun would stay up a little longer, when this female Red-rumped Parrot landed on a stump in the water. Females don’t have a red rump. Such beautiful lighting, such a beautiful bird!
