I see Great Egrets and Cattle Egrets far more often than I see Little Egrets so I was especially pleased to capture this one as it landed in shallow water at the Western Treatment Plant in Werribee, Victoria.

I’ve had a very, very full day after getting up at 5am to head out to the poo paddocks so will just share this graceful shot that I took today. I am hoping to share some Brolga shots next week, complete with a beaut video taken by a birding friend at the same time as I shot some stills.
Huge thank yous to everyone who attended my VAPS presentation on Ethical Bird Photography – the convention was a beaut event, I enjoyed every moment.
