World Kangaroo Day

With intermittent power cuts this evening I’m hoping to create a quick post about World Kangaroo Day before the next blackout arrives. What is happening to our kangaroos now is chillingly similar to what happened to koalas 100 years ago.

Although I mainly photograph birds I also love photographing all other wildlife. My Lightroom catalogue is also full of kangaroos, echidnas, koalas, bandicoots, antechinus, wallabies, reptiles, a very blurry bilby etc while my phone is overflowing with skinks, spiders, moths, butterflies, bugs and beetles.

I supply photographs, free of charge, to any organisation that is working to protect our native wildlife and that includes the incredibly fantastic Victorian Kangaroo Alliance. The group can be found on Facebook and Instagram and has its own website. VKA recommends checking out these links:

I’m going to skedaddle while we still have power as I’m not confident that I won’t suddenly lose lights and internet connection again at any moment.

Happy birding and kangaroo watching, Kim
