This beautiful little bird with its yellow feathers fluffed around it, cheered me this week as it perched on a lichen covered branch and glanced towards me.

Just about all of us here have been a bit under the weather this week, and this little robin turned up on Wednesday, late in the afternoon. I was meant to be at a funeral earlier that day, for a friend’s mum who had reached the wonderful age of 96 and who was very precious to me, but I just wasn’t well enough and I didn’t want to spread the virus to anyone else.
Apologies for the short post this week but I hope you like this lovely little robin with a glint in its eye.
Happy birding, Kim

What a gem 💛
Aw, thank you Alyssa. It was a little beauty to watch.
Outstanding capture!
That’s a beautiful lens you have!
Thanks Paul. I’ve been super happy with it apart from a couple of glitches.
So so beautiful. Get well soon.
Many thanks Carolyn, I’m glad you like this little one.
Absolutely gorgeous. He certainly brightened my day. Thank you Kim.
Thank you Sue. I’ve been worried about the little birds since the bushfire, especially as the predators will be here in bigger numbers than usual and it’s often the robins that are taken first. So it was especially lovely to see this little one happily bathing.
This is an outstanding image Kim, right down to the lichen. Loved it.
Get well soon. ttfn Avril

I’m glad you like it Valda, I’ve been thinking of you x
I am so sorry that you are not well and hope this splash of colour and cheer signified the start of a turn around. Thank you so much.
Thanks so much EC
