The singing fairy-wren

This singing fairy-wren almost missed out on a blog spot but I’ve had a hectic week and it will take me a little longer to sort the Rainbow Lorikeet images. This series of images make me feel as though I can still hear the wren’s song.

When the images are so similar I often have trouble working out which one is best. I have figured out that if I magnify the images and examine them many times they are probably identical. With the following images I’m not sure which is best/worst photographically – I’d appreciate your thoughts if you have the time to share, along with anything I could do to improve the image.

You never know what is around the corner… I meant that figuratively, meaning that we must make the most of every opportunity but it’s also something I try to literally be aware of when bird watching. If I walk into the open from bushland, or enter bushland, or turn a corner on a track I pause and look around before continuing. It’s so frustrating to barge into a new area and flush birds that I could have enjoyed watching.

Happy birding, Kim

I like all three! You take amazing pictures! My favourite is number three, except that I really like the tail feathers being spread out in number one.

Thank you Jennifer, I’m really glad you like them. I’ll keep trying with the wrens so I get one that fits with what you’ve said. I’m really looking forward to the babies arriving in springtime.
